So much focus can be placed on the health and wellbeing of those we support (and quite rightly so), that we are distracted from the health and wellbeing of those who provide the support.
It is important for 3 Trees to encourage the health and wellness of our team members as we believe that it has a direct influence on the quality of care that they provide. We want to care for all those associated with our company and by giving our team members access to a health scheme, we are one step closer to achieving this.
3 Trees have always felt it prudent to look after the health of our workforce. After the completion of probation, 3 Trees staff are awarded a Bupa Health cash plan.
The bupa health cash plan is designed to help employees claim money back towards some of their (or even their family’s) everyday healthcare expenses.
The cover provides a number of routine health benefits, such as money back towards dental treatments and check-ups, alongside optical tests, and prescription eyewear. One of the key benefits for 3 Trees was Bupa’s employee assistance programmes (EAPs). The EAP is a confidential mental health and wellbeing support service that contributes to our wellbeing strategy.
It provides our team with support and practical advice on issues that might be impacting their wellbeing and performance. An EAP provides counselling and expert support on personal or work-related problems and can help to stop theses developing and leading to absence from work.
