3 Trees was founded in 1999 when a clear need was identified to support people with complex needs. Unfortunately, these people were being excluded from social and community activities.
Using their knowledge and expertise, the 3 Trees founders were able to offer opportunities for people to integrate into community life, providing a stimulating and rewarding service.
This person-centred, inclusive approach worked with great success and that ethos remains to this day, making 3 Trees the company that it is.
3 Trees are continuously planning for the future, adapting and changing to meet the needs of our services. we would not be where we are today without our consistent and hardworking staff team that is the source of our strength and success.
We truly value the work that they do.
That’s why it is so important for us to support our team members through thick and thin. We truly listen to what our team members have to say and always encourage participation and feedback.
We place just as much importance on our team members as we do those that we support; happy staff are great carers! This resonates strongly with our team.
It is not uncommon to hear staff talking about 3 Trees, likening it to a family or saying how supportive we are. How the team managers or even the directors have helped them in both their personal and professional lives.
Everything we do is tailored to the needs of the individuals that we support.
We work in partnership with those we support and their families to create an individual package of care to ensure they acheive their goals and aspirations.
Our Care Needs Assessment identifies what a person is hoping to acheive and together we agree some outcomes.
The CQC defines personal care as follows – ‘This regulated activity involves supporting people in their homes (or where they’re living at the time) with things like washing, bathing or cleaning themselves, getting dressed or going to the toilet.’
What do our staff say?
“Personal care is just one aspect of being a carer and to be honest some people considering a job in care can be daunted by the prospect of delivering personal care; I mean how long does it take you to complete your own personal care – guessing not long?
Those I support with personal care are no different to anybody and want to get on with their day. When I deliver personal care, I understand that the person I am supporting must really trust me – that makes me feel satisfied I’m doing something worthwhile. It reminds me that it allows someone to feel good about themselves and enable them to confidently access the local community they live in. That to me is why I do the job I do. I consider being a support worker a privilege because I get to make living possible.”
