“Good people are the foundations of our society. As someone who has been providing care within 3 Trees since the start of this year, I have had the privilege of experiencing first hand the incredible work of good people. I want to share some valuable lessons I have learned as a care worker. ” – Kate, 3 Trees’ Marketing team

Good people are hard to find

First and foremost, the remarkable individuals I work with at 3 Trees exude an unparalleled level of compassion and dedication. They effortlessly handle every task involved in supporting individuals in their care, always willing to go the extra mile. Their actions throughout the day are driven by a genuine concern for the well-being of those they support. It is rare to encounter such unwavering commitment and care, constantly inspiring me as part of this extraordinary team.

When a care worker says 'person-centred', they mean it!

n the corporate world, the concept of being person-centred is often discussed without genuine commitment and follow-through, undermining its significance. However, at 3 Trees, we truly embody person-centred values. We genuinely prioritize each person’s individuality, well-being, and safety, going above and beyond to honor and respect their needs.

Intentional actions spark positive connections

One of the most profound lessons from my time in care work is the power of meaningful connections. I have learnt that being intentional in caring for others can impact someone’s day and spark meaningful relationships that can have a lasting impact. We all have the opportunity to encounter and impact the lives of others, whether it’s a simple smile or holding a door open for someone. These seemingly small actions genuinely go a long way.

Care working invokes new levels of gratitude

Experiencing gratitude is another aspect of working in care. I feel a deep sense of fulfilment when I know I have genuinely impacted someone’s life. I may be physically tired at the end of the day, but it’s good. The knowledge that I have made a difference to someone else is invaluable. Money can’t buy the sense of purpose and joy that comes from empowering someone to live their best life.

Showing appreciation for the care workers who go above and beyond

The individuals who devote their lives to caring for others are the true pillars of our society. My journey at 3 Trees Care & Support continually reinforces the immense impact caring people can have on others’ lives. They inspire me to improve and create positive change. I will continue to appreciate and support these tireless individuals, making our society better for all. I urge you to do the same – spread the word about care!
